Chiropractic Care

What Is a Chiropractor?

A Chiropractor is a licensed healthcare professional who focuses on your body's capability to heal itself.

Chiropractic Medicine is a healthcare profession that cares for your neuromusculoskeletal system—the bones, nerves, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. A chiropractor helps manage your pain and mobility through the use of adjustments to maintain good alignment of your musculoskeletal system. Chiropractic has become widely recognized as being extremely effective in treating many conditions that can arise from misalignment..  For example, when something is "out of place" or not positioned correctly within the body, this can result in various conditions such as headaches, muscles aches, back pain, shoulder pain, joint pain, limping, scoliosis, sciatica, neck tension, neuropathy, and so much more.

What Does a Chiropractor Do?

Chiropractic Medicine is focused on the body's ability to self-heal and further works well in unison with nutrition, physical therapy, and massage therapy.  It does NOT involve surgery or medicine and rather believes that with regular retraining of problem areas, the body can restore itself. Upon a first visit,  the Chiropractor will conduct an examination of the patient, looking at their bone position, mobility, and muscle reflexes. They also perform tests to diagnose the patient's condition, then come up with a treatment plan and set a time frame for monitoring progress.

Adjustments along with various chiropractic techniques, treatments and therapies help to realign the bones to allow full mobility and function of the neuromusculoskeletal system.
